Currently, what am I NOT working on. I think we all have this issue. I’m writing The King’s Destiny. Also, I am working very closely with Diamant on the next Shattered Lives Graphic Novel Series issue. I have been researching for a standalone novel, an idea brought to me from a family member. I have another standalone that I’m researching for that will focus around the details of a lake close to my home. It’s very intriguing and the actual story has spun a few fictional ideas. So yeah, a few things!

If someone was just hearing about you for the first time what 1 thing would you want them to know?

I have a rebel approach. I write what I want and never worry about what’s popular. I fully embrace the idea of being different. The Froot Loop in the bowl of Cheerios. Which all leads to my “Be Different Read Different” stance in the publishing world.

Did you always want to be a writer?

No. I was guided to this adventure in writing. The past 12 years have been a very difficult time for me due to a drastic change in what I hoped would have been a career. I am finally finding my way with this and using writing as a therapy to help me through the dark days.

What has been the biggest adventure of your life?

Moving from New York to Georgia. I never thought I would move 1000 miles away from my family and friends, but it has been for the best.

If zombie apocalypse were to happen tomorrow would you be prepared?

Heck no! You would think someone who has written books with zombies, or the undead as my characters prefer, would have a bunker all ready to go. It’s shameful.

What 3 things do you feel everyone should have to be ready for a survival situation?

Hmm… A weapon, good people, and a will to do what you have to do to survive.

Who would you want with you if civilized society fell apart?

Without a doubt, my husband and daughter. I wish we could have our family and friends with us, but our current geographical situation wouldn’t allow for it.

What 2 books would be in your bug out bag, knowing you would have to read them over and over?

Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince by JK Rowling and Lover Unbound by JR Ward.

If we were thrown into the dark ages what would you miss most?

Music. While music still would be able to be made, there’s something about closing out the rest of the world with ear buds plugged into your ears. It’s calming and helps me focus.

What is the most surprising fact about you?

I’ve never been on an airplane.
